Monthly Virtual Drink – Mar 2021 – Belgian Scientific Short Talks
March 4 @ 7:30 PM - 11:30 PM
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, this event will be held on Zoom (find the link on our facebook page or just contact us).
On the first Thursday of each month, the Harvard-MIT Belgian Society now holds a networking drink intended for all Belgians and friends who are looking forward to network and enjoy a cultural evening in an informal and social setting. The drink starts at 7.30 PM and attendees are free to walk in at any time.
We start a new series of short talks by two fellow Belgians providing a non-expert audience a unique perspective on their field of research.
This edition will feature Dr. David Bergemann, talking about tissue regeneration by taking a deep dive in the fishtank, and Dr. Wouter Van de Pontseele, talking about how much a neutrino weighs. These Belgian experts will guide you through these interesting topics and leave plenty of room for discussion.
The Virtual bar is open from 7.30 PM to 10 PM and the Belgian Scientific Short Talks are from 8 PM to 8.30 PM.
We are thankful to our HMBS Board Members David and Wouter for starting this platform. This platform is an open podium for everyone who wants to introduce their field of expertise and research to our fellow bar patrons. We will also record (if permitted) these short talks and make them accessible through our social media/website.
